1 / 3Glasgow Club Gorbals
📍 Gorbals, Central Scotland
Glasgow Club Gorbals runs a swimming pool with child-friendly rapids, lane swimming at multiple speeds, and free family swim sessions. Tennis courts, gym, and fitness classes also available. Five minutes from Glasgow city centre.
I visit more of the Glasgow clubs and this one is nice. It has all the facilities you would need and the dressing rooms are vell placed not as crammed as some other locations. The FT area is big and well equipped. The place is clean and the equipment is in working condition most of the time. There is on the ground help with fitness instructors and several personal trainer also but if you check the machines bar code with the app suggested you’ll get a generally good advice and plan according to your parameters. Parking is good although you’ll need your band to open the gate or the code given inside the gym floor area.
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for families seeking swimming lessons or structured pool sessions with children — staff are specifically praised for their skill with young learners. Recreational swimmers should check lane availability before arriving, as lesson blocks frequently restrict public access.

“This is an excellent swimming pool, with child friendly rapids and lane swimming. The staff are brilliant too. Unfortunately too much time and space is dedicated to teaching swimming at the expense of normal swimmers. This pool has recently also been shut a lot off and on, which I presume is due to lack of staff.”

“Cleanliness and space in the cafeteria area was poor. Fabric seats were very marked and tables too big for space provided. Shabby appearance put me off staying. I'm told that the staff in the pool are good with the little learners. No photos to post as quite rightly, taking any is forbidden.”

“In my opinion, my experience was not good. Why? Well, because, the changing rooms were full of gum. Pre-chewed. The ground was not clean, there was lots of grass on the ground. The whole changing room bit was very dirty. Other leisure pools I've been to, have been cleaner. The changing rooms were small, the family changing rooms were like a changing room for one person. There was three of us in a changing room and we barely even fit. The lazy river was in such of a place, that if you tried to get out. You'd just get sucked in the river again. Also, the circle pool was right next to the lazy river. That you'd get sucked in the river instead of going into the circle pool. But we did have fun, I just feel like the sanitary was not the best. No harm or offence intended.”

Overview
The pool includes child-friendly rapids, multi-speed lane swimming, and dedicated free family swimming sessions. Fitness classes and a gym supplement the aquatic facilities. Cafe and parking on site. The venue is five minutes from Glasgow city centre. Lesson timetables regularly take priority over recreational swimming — checking availability before travelling avoids a wasted trip. Family changing rooms are small; bringing minimal kit reduces congestion.
