Goyt Hall Farm
đ Stockport, North West
Scenic countryside walk through a working farmyard by the River Goyt, passing horses, ducks, and around 40 cattle. Flat and rougher terrain options suit mixed fitness levels. Evening visits offer hilltop sunset views.
Great day out for a walk seeing the horses and the duck pond. The staff and all the people who own horses here are friendly. Overall the old farm yard is in a nice walking location. An evening walk down the hill or up the hill and you get to see some excellent sunsets. There is an additional view of seeing near 40 cows and a big bull near to the path if you are lucky.
đ Family Action Verdict
Best for families who enjoy unstructured countryside exploration rather than structured activity sessions. The mix of horses, ducks, and cattle suits curious children of primary school age. Both flat and rougher terrain are accessible, making it workable for elderly grandparents alongside younger children.

âI went to a Countryside walk at Gout park, Stockport with Social-circle. It was a nice pleasant day, had a lovely walk on both flat and rough terrain. Would recommend as there were many fit elderly people as well as young.â
