Excellent leisure centre, massive 50m swimming pool which I really enjoy using. It's nice to have a session in the steam or sauna straight after a swim. Loads of facilities and classes if you're a member and parking is free for members. I recently finished a session and felt a little light headed and the staff were unbelievably helpful, they gave me a lucozade to up my blood sugar and stayed with me until I felt better.

πŸ† Family Action Verdict

Best for families with confident swimmers who want access to a genuine 50m pool or the visual spectacle of the restored Art Deco lido. Parent-and-child sessions work well for under-3s in a well-equipped environment.

β€œHillingdon Sports & Leisure Complex is the ultimate playground for anyone in West London, and its crown jewel is undoubtedly the Grade II listed outdoor lido. It has been restored to its full 1930s Art Deco glory, complete with those quirky star-shaped fountains that make you feel like you are on a vintage film set rather than in the middle of Uxbridge”

β€œI visited the Hillingdon Sports & Leisure Complex recently, and I came away with some really mixed feelings. On one hand, the facilities themselves are undeniably excellent. The 50-meter indoor competition pool is fantastic for getting some proper lengths in, and the outdoor lido is an absolute gemβ€”it’s one of the best-preserved examples of its kind and feels like a real luxury on a sunny day. The gym is well-equipped and the whole site feels modern, clean, and well-maintained. However, the experience was really let down by the service. I found the staff to be quite unhelpful and, at times, noticeably indifferent. Whether it was asking for simple directions to a specific area or trying to get some clarity on booking times, the responses were pretty blunt and felt like a bit of an inconvenience to them. There wasn't much of a welcoming atmosphere at the front desk, which is a shame because the building itself is such a great asset to the community. It’s the kind of place you go for the high-quality equipment and the beautiful pool, but you definitely have to bring your own patience when it comes to the customer service.”

β€œFantastic pools, perfect for all ages. Does suffer from the normal public pools curse, the dreaded swim lessons. I paid for a parent and child under 3 open session, only half of the learner pool was available, the other half and the entire shallow end of the main pool were closed for lessons. I would prefer a reasonable time split between completely open and completely closed but as above this isn't unique to Hillingdon. My little girl kept giving me a thumbs up and telling me how much she likes swimming so it's just me moaning lol!”
