1 / 2Hollywood Bowl Glasgow Coatbridge
📍 Coatbridge, Central Scotland
Hollywood Bowl Coatbridge with ten-pin bowling, arcade games, pool tables, toddler-friendly bumper options, and an on-site cafe. Easy motorway access from A8, M73, and M8. Full pram access throughout.
It's a Holywood bowl, what can I say!? It's got a great size car park and while busy, it's never too bad for getting a bowling lane. The arcades are great, if a little on pricey side, £2 for many of the machines. However, the pool tables are kept very well and the hungry hippos ride is hysterical to watch. Prices a bit pricey for Coatbridge but decent place to go several times a year.
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for families with competitive older children who want an active bowling session with arcade games on the side. The motorway access makes it a practical choice for families driving in from across Central Scotland. Costs add up fast — arcade machines run at premium pricing. Friday afternoons and weekends can see significant waits.

“Always a great experience at Hollywood bowl. Easy access just off the A8. Not far from M73 and M8 motorways. Family day always becomes SO competitive 😂 Dad is a natural born winner 💪🏼 the others just try to keep up with my lead, haha 😂 Food, drinks and plenty of arcade games to play afterwards.”

“Had a good time there with my daughter. For me, it was all a bit garish, but it's fine for an occasional bit of fun. Service was friendly, although we did ring the bell once for an order to be taken and no-one turned up.”

“Went on a Friday around 2pm had to stand and wait about 10 mins for a member of staff to come and issue tickets ...ordered hot dogs for the kids which turned out to be half hotdogs and a couple chips thrown in...the kids wanted another game so had to pay more because it wasn't online(which is shocking} game over in and out in less than 50 mins and cost me over 50 quid...ridiculous...wish I were getting paid 50quid an hour....take plenty money if visiting this place. ..oh not staffs fault...they are only doing their job and I bet it's no where near 50quid an hour”
