1 / 3The Time Capsule
📍 Coatbridge, Central Scotland
The Time Capsule combines a water park with tornado flume and slides, a 25m pool, ice skating rink, soft play for ages 18 months to 12 years, and a cafe. Water park runs on timed sessions requiring advance booking.
Surprisingly pleasant experience having read some not so great reviews beforehand. Pools were of a tolerable temperature. Wasn't too busy as it was a weekday. Lifeguards were switched on and pleasant when we needed assistance for a little cut. We spent longer than we anticipated as the kids loved the different areas. Pricey for a family with 3 kids, but great value if you are a member.
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Children who love water slides will find the tornado flume and whirlpool genuinely thrilling. The ice rink adds a strong secondary option for the same visit. Timed water park sessions suit families who plan ahead, and they create real pressure for children with additional needs — factor that in before booking.

“We had a wonderful time! Very helpful and kind staff. The slides were thrilling! Clean and well kept. Thanks for a fun day! A special thanks to West Coat Burger for making my daughter's birthday party extra special. We had a reserved seating area and the food was excellent! Very professional. Will definitely do again!”

“Loved the whirl pool (lazy river without the donuts) and the slides but the yellow flume was closed both times I visited. Also the big donut slide was amazing but it lasts less than 30 seconds, wish it went on a little longer. Loved it though, but we just done the waterpark both times - my son wasn’t interested in the ice skating but they have a massive ice skating rink too which I would probably go to with my friends”

“The pool and ice rink are great no complaints but you Need to book online, it is always full but never looks it no doubt people book and don't turn up. you are restricted to a time slot having 2 autistic kids time limits are a nightmare! The food in the cageisr yuk and way over priced especially for a kids venue. It's a busy place they could make a fortune if they sorted the cafe. Iceskating doesn't allow support unless lids have a disability. I said not sure to buying tickets as I believe walk in service is better andibut again gets busy so I understand why people do book in advance”

Overview
Water park features a tornado flume, multiple slides, and a whirlpool lazy river — the yellow flume can be closed for maintenance so check ahead. The 25m pool and ice rink operate separately. Soft play caters to ages 18 months to 12 years. West Coast Burger inside handles birthday party catering with reserved seating. Lifeguards are active and attentive. Advance online booking is mandatory — the venue appears fuller than it looks because unredeemed bookings hold slots.
