Glasgow Club Easterhouse Pool
π Glasgow, Central Scotland
Community pool in Glasgow with a river rapids attraction, lane swimming, and fitness classes. Staff are consistently praised for warmth and safety focus. Changing village is immaculate. Water can be cold.
You wouldnβt think this was a council pool (no offence) it can be cold at times butβ¦ The warm welcome from Stuart on reception makes my day. It just shines positivity and lovely welcome. The changing village is immaculate itβs cleaner than some higher chain private places in my opinion. The pool itself is 20 meters and I have multiple disabilities. This is where I feel safe I love water but the pool side staff are extra vigilant in safety. Particularly Steven, Claire, Becca and Jack. When aqua aerobics are on Iβve overheard them radio to keep on those that may be struggling. They ensure the safety of everybody in the pool is of importance. The above staff Abby, guy with cool tattoos (Gerry) and younger girl are also so kind and supportive. They are not just life guards they are approachable friendly staff that make sure your well-being is first and foremost. Steven, Becca and Jack are very educated in hidden disabilities and wish there were more people like them in the world. As I am quite anxious I couldnβt feel more relaxed and safe than at easterhouse pool. The tiles are free of grime unlike other glasgow life pools and I am so lucky to have such a wonderful facility on my doorstep. Just to add Ian the manager who also has cool tattoo's is a very considerate caring person thank you so much. My only thing is I wish they were open weekends and mornings as I swim most days I dread having to go to other pools. Highly recommended!
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families introducing young children to swimming β the smaller pool size and river rapids feature build water confidence without overwhelming new swimmers. Stuart on reception and the wider team are frequently cited by name for the quality of their welcome. The pool and showers run cold, so bring warm layers for after the session.

βMy family use these swimming baths quite frequently and for all it may not be as action packed as he time capsule for older kids we find that it's been a great place to introduce the kids in our family to swimming. The river rapids are a great way for the little ones to feel that they're moving all by themselves and yet not so overpowering that this is a danger to them. Staff are always friendly and helpful as well. All in all a good place to go with the family.β

βCame to have a look for the first time with two boys who are not the best swimmers. Summer holidays, smaller pool was closed! The general pool was dip for children of their swimming level and the safe guard was strict but had never told me that the 1 m pool can be opened for the request. So I presume it is just the management policy. Boys were upset and I had to take them home after just 15 min of staying. Thank you for the opportunity to use the best sport facilities in Europe.β
