1 / 2Horniman Aquarium
π London, Greater London
A 15-exhibit aquarium inside the Horniman Museum covering British ponds, Fijian coral reefs, jellyfish, seahorses, poison dart frogs, and live coral. Outdoor animal area includes sheep and alpacas. Strong value entry with toddler-specific activities.
this place is a lovely hidden gem and theres plenty for kids to do the outside space with the animals is lovely we saw sheep , alpacas etc plenty of outside space to relax , the aquarim is small but still lovely lots of fish to see. the robot exhibit that was on was so good so much to see and do. if you are on uc you get tickets foe Β£1 so in total we payed Β£4 for both the aquarim snd robot zoo for 1 x child and 1 x adult. downside ia the cafe - its very expensive. my son who's almost 5 had the chicken cojouns and chips and it was only two small pieces of chicken. not worth Β£8 at all.
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families with toddlers and preschoolers. The intimate scale β 10 to 30 minutes maximum β is perfectly matched to short attention spans, and the toddler-specific activities throughout keep young children engaged. Older children may find the four-room layout too brief.

βIt's good for small children. The aquarium is in fact just a very small feature of the museum which you pay extra to go into. It was perfect for our 2 year old who went around it multiple times. The set up is definitely geared towards toddlers due to it's size and the activities throughout, namely colourings, picture books and some dress up. If you were to go without children I imagine you'd be disappointed down to the entry fee. Selection of fish is fine, nothing overly spectacular but they have lovely biome set ups and paladarium style tanks that exhibit both fish and anthibians.β
