1 / 3Horniman Triangle Playground
đ London, Greater London
Uncrowded playground in SE23 with a large sand pit, helicopter climbing frame, and pram access throughout. A nearby cafe is available. Bring sand toys and expect occasional cleanliness variation.
This is such a great park and brings back great memories since my mum used to take me and my sisters here when we were kids. It's a shame they got rid of the pool, but I guess the big sand pit compensates as the kids loved it. Its really big too so good for outdoor gatherings.
đ Family Action Verdict
Best for families with toddlers and pre-school children who love sand and open space. The large sand pit is the standout feature and the uncrowded layout gives young children room to roam. Older children visiting purely for the climbing equipment will find less variety than at larger playgrounds.

âGreat! Unlucky the helicopter frame always causes bumps on heads. But the rest the children love it. Don't forget to take spade and bucket for the children play in the sand pytâ

âWe like this playground , we have been here since my daughter is very small. Now she is nearly grown out of it but she still loves here. Lost 1 start because sometimes it is not very clean and some silly people bring in dogs and no dogs sign is not very clear.â

Overview
Horniman Triangle Playground centres on a large sand pit that draws toddlers and young children consistently, set within a spacious fenced layout that rarely feels overcrowded. A helicopter climbing frame provides a focal point for older children, and a nearby cafe serves families before or after sessions. Pram access is straightforward throughout. Parents note variable cleanliness and a no-dogs policy that is not always self-enforcing.
