1 / 2Kids Rule Play Cafe
π Cannock, West Midlands
Indoor play centre in Cannock with three-story soft play, role play areas, sensory zones, disco room, baby area, outdoor sandpit, and a cafe. SEN sessions run on Sundays. Free parking on site.
We have been enjoying Kids Rule Play Cafe as a family for the last 10 months. We are regular attendees of the SEN sessions on a sunday for our 5 year old daughter. We also attend during the week with my 18 month old for some mummy/daughter time. We find the place safe and secure for us to be able to relax and let the kids play to their hearts content. Both girls enjoy the sensory aspect, role playing and running after eachother in the soft play. There is something there for everyone. To have so much choice in one spot is ideal especially for my SEN child that likes to do everything. In the warm months they have enjoyed the outside area too especially the sand pits much to my disgust (i am not a sand fan). The disco room is always open (other than if there is a party on) and they both again love to dance away to the pretty lights in there. We are always greeted with a smiling face. The staff really make the experience about the children and make sure they are seen and heard. The SEN sessions a special with a real sense of community. Giving the SEN family a place to belong naturally, where there is no worries about what the family next to you are thinking. The staff really make this a community and really embrace the magic that these SEN sessions are. Now food... The Menu has a lot of choice as well as a specials board. Our particular top favs are the waffles and chicken, big breakfast, Jacket potatoes, Omelette and chicken burger. The girls standard on sunday morning is mini sausages and toast (the staff even helps us by allowing it to cool a little in the kitchen before bringing it out - always accomodating our needs). We feel very lucky to have this on our door step and to have found a SEN session that is fulfilling for our SEN child and the rest of the family. We look forward to our sunday mornings. This SEN session is a lifeline for some families and that is not being over dramatic, it allows families to get out, socialise in a safe and fun space, there are not many places around that allow that. Biggest shout out goes to the owner and the Cog that makes Kids Rule the special place it is... Sharna! She works so hard to make it all happen. She make it all look easy. Sharna's vision is to have a community based hub for all parents children in the area. She is always sourcing services that will help the community as a whole not just SEN. And generally there is nothing that Sharna is not willing to do to help others. Kids Rule Play Cafe is Sharna's heart not just business and you'll feel that as soon as you step through the door. See you sunday Kids Rule! You Rule!!
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families with children under 10 wanting a long, varied play session with attentive staff. The SEN Sunday sessions have built a genuine local community for families of children with additional needs. Birthday party hosting is thorough β every review highlights staff managing the full event, freeing parents completely.

βWe had such a lovely time celebrating our little oneβs first birthday. Everything was so well organised from start to finish, which made the whole experience completely stress-free for us. The team kept us informed throughout about what was happening and what was coming next, so we could just relax and enjoy the day. The food was absolutely lovely and beautifully set up for the kids - it was presented in such a fun, inviting way and went down really well with all the little ones. It was clear a lot of thought had gone into making it both appealing and practical for kids. We also really appreciated the little extras that were included. The crown-making activity was such a sweet touch and kept most of the children happily entertained and the inflatables were a huge hit β they definitely went down well and added to the fun atmosphere. The space itself was perfect for little ones to explore safely, and all our guests commented on how smoothly everything ran. It felt really special without us having to worry about a thing. Thank you for helping us create such a memorable first birthday! πβ

βKids Rule Play Cafe Thank you so much for hosting Bonnieβs 4th birthday party. Everything ran so smoothly from start to finish. The children were kept entertained throughout, and the team took care of everything β from decorating and cake cutting to the clean-up β which meant there was absolutely no stress for us as parents. The food was beautifully presented and perfectly matched the party theme, including the plates and setup provided. The children especially loved the crafting activities and the inflatable. So many parents commented on how lovely the cafΓ© was, and I wouldnβt hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking to host a childrenβs party. Thank you again for such a fantastic experience!β

βWhat an amazing place for little ones! It was our first time visiting today and we were thoroughly impressed!! The building has been dedicated not only for babies but for all children under 10 years old. The hospitality was impeccable and given our first experience, we were given a tour around all areas. The staff went out of their way to deliver wonderful customer service and all food and drink was affordable and very tasty π With it's sensory area, play village, variety of fancy dress, three stories of soft play frame, disco room, large outdoor area AND great food and toilet facilities, we will definitely be returning!β
