I would definately reccomend it, its all historical trains with the big area for disabled people and people who need it and smaller cabins for other people with space for up to 8 people I was talking to one of the volenteers called phil he told me it opened in 1864 and closed in 1962 and reopened by rail enthusiasts in the 2000s and 2 yrs ago they opened Corwen station if takes 40mins each way so in total it is 1hr 20mins and theres the berwyn tunnel where you have to close all the windows otherwise the cabin gets smoked out its a really good trip for a family but two adults, two childrwn and a dog its Β£65 but It is worth it.

πŸ† Family Action Verdict

Best for families who enjoy authentic heritage experiences with genuine volunteer passion. The 80-minute return trip suits all ages and leaves time to explore Llangollen town, the aqueduct, or the hilltop castle. Dog-friendly carriages make it practical for pet-owning families. Seasonal special events add themed extras worth booking in advance.

β€œVisited over Christmas to ride the Mince Pie Special! Lovely railway staffed by enthusiastic, helpful volunteers, the Train driver had time to chat and was very informative. About a 2 hour round trip to Corwen, we went on a Sunday when most of Corwen is closed (get about half an hour during the turnaround). Ticket included a Mince Pie and Mulled Wine, excellent on a cold day. Definitely will visit again. In the summer πŸŒžβ€

β€œLlangollen and the railway station are a must visit when you're in North Wales. To see how things were many years ago is amazing, the staff are helpful and friendly. From here you can take train ride on one of the historic trains. Enjoy your visit. πŸ΄σ §σ ’σ ·σ ¬σ ³σ ΏπŸ‘β€

β€œAn absolutely great adventure. I would suggest parking at Corwen and going to Llangollen and walling from the station to the Aqueduct or Castll Dinas Brem (the Crow Castll). And then train back. We took the dog and he enjoyed it too. Lovely staff/volunteers.”
