1 / 3Xplore! Science Discovery Centre
đ Wrexham, North West
Interactive science centre with over 85 working exhibits, live science shows with audience participation, and a planetarium. Steps alongside exhibits let toddlers reach everything. Picnic area, cafe, and science shop on site.
My children 1, 5 and 6 loved it! I dare say my teenagers would too. I did! Spent 3 hours here and the experiments are brilliant! Rare that they all work like others I've been to in the past. Great value tickets and all facilities/shop etc. When we got home, my kids asked to go back tomorrow! Parking cheap locally and convenient cut through. Staff amazing. We will 100% be back and with my husband as he missed out!!! Lady doing the eggsperements was a fantastic host, very knowledgeable and happy to answer my daughters questions at the end. Even at closing time, a young man who worked there was happy to show my son how one of the experiments worked before we left. Thank you for a brilliant day out and keeping my active little ones amused in a safe and friendly environment! đ
đ Family Action Verdict
Best for families with children aged 2 and up. The hands-on exhibits engage toddlers through teens â two adults visiting without children rated it equally. Staff are knowledgeable and enthusiastic about explaining how things work. Plan 90 minutes minimum; families with older children regularly spend three hours.

âFantastic place for children of all ages. Lots of interactive exhibits for children to play with. Brought my children, 4 and 1, both have enjoyed a lot. Very spacious, has a little picnic area if you plan on bringing your own food, a buggy park, clean toilets, and a cafe. Staff are all very friendly and accommodating. Very affordable price compared with other children's museums. Just outside the multi storey car park. Very convenient location.â

âFun and educational. Even as two adults we enjoyed it, we got to be kids ourselves and learnt a few new things. My 2 year old loved it, everything is hands on and within easy reach (they had steps on the side for toddlers) he enjoyed the freedom and interactive play. The people who work there are brilliant too.â
