Pancras Square Leisure
📍 London, Greater London
Council leisure centre at King's Cross offering swimming pools, spa with sauna and steam rooms, and a fully accessible gym including wheelchair-adapted equipment. Check-in via app is slow — arrive early on first visits.
The gym equipment here is very complete. There are also gym equipment for people with disabilities. There are also equipment for wheelchair users. The gym is very accessible for wheelchair maneuvers, all floors are flat. Inside the gym there are staff who will help if you have difficulty using the equipment. Oh yes, there are special lockers for disabled/wheelchair users. There is a free tap water refill in the gym. The gym is clean although sometimes there are a few equipment that smell of sweat and I think that's normal. I highly recommend this gym for wheelchair users. There are special prices for disabled.
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for families with accessibility needs — the wheelchair-adapted gym equipment and flat-floor layout are genuinely well-designed. The spa amenities suit adults after a family swim. Visit during off-peak hours to avoid serious lane crowding, and download the check-in app and test it before your first visit to avoid delays at the gate.

“The spa pool, sauna, and steam rooms are a great way to unwind after a workout. It’s a bit of a luxury feel for a council-run facility. Highly recommend visiting during off-peak hours.”

“Terrible check in system. I’ve never been to a gym with a more inefficient way to get in. Usually you have a little key fob or something to scan that gets you in quick, but they do it on their app and it takes forever and most of the time doesn’t work the first time and you have to wait and try again by connecting to WiFi. It’s a terrible way to do it and also the gym is very hot even though it’s now very cold outside… they need to turn on some cool air so it’s bearable to do cardio. Very dissatisfied”

“I am a regular customer at St Pancras Leisure Centre and have been using the facilities since it opened in 2010. I regularly visit the centre for exercise, particularly for swimming. However, I would like to raise several concerns regarding the swimming pool and lane management. Firstly, the width of the swimming lanes is not sufficient. Each lane is less than two metres wide, which makes it difficult and uncomfortable for swimmers to use the pool safely. Many swimmers, including myself, have repeatedly complained about this issue. The pool appears to have been designed without proper consideration for swimmers’ needs and for providing a good swimming experience. The narrow lanes cause frequent collisions, interruptions to training, and unnecessary frustration for users, especially during busy periods. I believe that swimming lanes should be wide enough to allow swimmers to pass each other safely and to swim without constantly avoiding contact. Reducing the number of lanes in order to increase lane width would significantly improve safety and customer satisfaction. In addition, I would like to report a specific incident regarding lane availability and management. Between 12:00 and 13:30 on Saturday, 28 February 2026, only three lanes were open for general swimming, while the remaining two lanes were reserved for family use. During this time, there were only one or two people using the family lanes, and in fact no families were present. Meanwhile, a large number of swimmers were required to share the three general lanes, which caused severe overcrowding and discomfort. I reported this situation to the lifeguard on duty and asked whether the unused family lanes could be opened temporarily to swimmers. However, this request was refused, despite the clear overcrowding in the other lanes. This created an unnecessary and impractical situation for regular swimmers. I kindly request that the centre review both the lane width design and the way lanes are managed during busy periods, particularly when reserved lanes are clearly underused. A more flexible approach would greatly improve safety, fairness and the overall customer experience.”
