Really varied park with wooded areas, playground and open spaces for picnics and ball games. Great views in places across Bromley. And plenty of places to explore for young kids, including a "secret pond" with resident ducks.

🏆 Family Action Verdict

Best for families with young children who enjoy mixing playground time with nature exploration. The woodland section and hidden pond add genuine discovery value for children aged 2–8. Wet weather turns the grass areas muddy — tarmac paths help and wellies are advised after rain.

â„šī¸ What to Know Before You Go

đŸŽŸī¸Tarmac paths run through the park if the ground is too soft for buggies
🚗Multiple entrances from Pickhurst Lane and Mead Way give flexibility on approach

“Love Pickhurst Park, I took my son go to playground also used for dog walking as well. The grass is muddy because the rain too much made it mud & very slip easy. Lovely woodland too.”

“Nice (local to me) Park. Clean, good for dogs. There is a small forest section in the park for exploring. The playground is good. Could do with a bit of updating/repair but the kids seem to have fun. There's also an access road which allows cars to get to the allotments. It's usually quiet so nice and peaceful to walk along with lots of trees so nice and cool to walk through. Small but nice if you need to kill an hour or so.”

“Pickhurst Recreation Ground includes Cupola Wood, and can be accessed through a narrow entrance in Pickhurst Lane near the junction with The Avenue and Mead Way, or from Mead Way along the north side. There is a path linking it to Pickhurst Green in the south, which comes out further along Pickhurst Lane.”
