Planet Ice Milton Keynes
📍 Milton Keynes, Greater London
Year-round indoor ice skating with public sessions, lessons for all skill levels, and birthday party packages with dedicated hosts. On-site cafe, Ice Card membership discounts, and free parking. Plan extra time for pre-skate queues.
Absolutely amazing fun for the family. I found all the staff members to be professional, friendly and very helpful. Food and beverage range is appropriate for children and snacking adults. Grateful I didn’t have to worry about having cash for the locker, fortunately everything is contactless. Had trouble connecting to my network when inside the venue. Toilets are very surprisingly clean, considering the volume of people using this location. In all a great way to spend time with friends and family-we are definitely going back again!
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for families with children who want a genuine ice skating experience at reasonable prices. Staff are helpful and safety-conscious on the rink. Build at least an extra 45–60 minutes into your plan to absorb queuing across parking, tickets, skate hire, and lockers — the skating itself consistently delivers once you get there.

“Daughter visits regular. Goes ice skating. Loves it. Food, well it's more catered for the kids. Not really for me. Neither is the quality of the coffee. But there's vending machines to get a soda. So not all bad.”

“You get given plenty of time for your slot. The prices are very reasonable. We had an amazing time. The staff are super friendly. They even helped us to organise a taxi back to our hotel.”

“The ice skating part is enjoyable and the rink is in good condition, but there are frustrations leading up to it. The parking outside is a disaster. I waited in a 15 min queue to pay for parking (Premier Parking) at the machine. There's no app option and the machine interface is horrible. It ended up rejecting my card after hanging for several minutes (as it did for most people), so I had to pay for parking elsewhere, but the charge still showed up on my statement! I then had to wait in a 20 minute queue to get my tickets inside despite paying online and having a QR code. It's the same line for pre-paid and people who just show up, so it slows the entire thing down. They could make this much more efficient by simply splitting the lines up. We then had to queue for 15 mins for skates, then another 10 minutes for a locker. You essentially need an hour before you plan to skate for all of the queuing. It really puts me off going back and it could be so much more efficient with some simple changes.”
