1 / 3Splash 'n' Play
đ Milton Keynes, North West
Large outdoor splash park at Willen Lake with over 60 water features including Super Splash bucket, water cannons, Sea Serpent, water tunnel, and a dedicated toddler water journey. Sessions run 45 minutes with accompanying adults free.
Great fun - splash park was tidy and efficient. You can book online but also at the booth at entry, sessions are timed with a 15 min gap between sessions to allow groups to leave / arrive. There are some changing areas, loos and the refreshment booth has a till point into the enclosed splash area. You pay for kids, adults are free - but only 2 adults per child.
đ Family Action Verdict
Best for families with children under 13 who want a structured, clean splash experience with a wide variety of water features. Timed sessions keep crowds manageable and the cleaning intervals are consistently praised. Book online well in advance for peak summer dates.

âGreat place. Cleaned after every session. Lovely staff. Will definitely be going back. Love that the water turns off at the end of the session, much easier to get the kids away.â

âNot sure why this review has not been published??? Its factual, its based upon my own experience and not copied and pasted from another review so I'm unsure of what the issue is?? We have been to the splash n play at Willen lake a good few times but the most recent visit has put me off taking my children. Its gone downhill. We were booked in to a 3pm session and queued until 3.10, so were let in after the session had started. I noticed that there were a lot of people already in the splash n play who hadn't left from the last session (perhaps they'd booked two sessions? Or they'd just chanced it and stayed on?) The session seemed extremely busy. Too busy in the older section where there were no staff standing. The staff seemed to have stationed themselves in the middle and the toddler section. Perhaps if the staff had of been patrolling the older section of the splash n play they could have told the large amount of Muslim women who were fully clothed from head to toe and had shoes on not to be going in to the splash area with their older children? The staff could have also told them, and numerous other adults to stop videoing and taking photos on their phones. The reason I liked this splash n play was because its bookable (I can't understand how previous other reviews have an issue with this and say its not clear - it is in clear English on the website that it's a booked activity). By being a bookable activity it should mean that it's not a free for all and that there are staff to keep it safe. Not anymore. Anything seems to go! Adults shouldn't be in the splash area with the kids unless they have toddlers or very young children who they are supervising. It's not for the adults to cool down too. It's meant to be for children only. I didn't feel like my daughters were safe in there to be honest and I was glad when the session was over.â
