1 / 2RAF Chessington Playground
π Chessington, Greater London
Fully fenced outdoor playground in Chessington featuring slides, swings, a sandpit, and a zip line. Free entry, toddler-friendly, with cafe and toilets accessible at The King's Centre immediately next door.
Nice playground with well-maintained equipment. The Kingβs Centre next to the park has a fabulous cafe too, along with toilets.
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families with children under 8, especially pre-schoolers. The fenced layout and age-appropriate equipment make supervision straightforward. Older children beyond early primary may exhaust the facilities quickly. The adjacent cafe makes extended visits easy without needing to pack refreshments.

βVery early on a cold, wet and windy Monday morning. Only just light, just one dog walker out and about and that wasn't very keen. Contrast the usual summer morning and it would be crowded with youngsters using the many different pieces of children's play equipment, designed for younger children and very safety conscious in lay out and surfaces.β

βGreat playground for younger children, pre-school I'd say. Older children can use the zip line or the wooden frame but younger children would get more enjoyment from this playground. Good that it's fenced, area is popular with dog walkers. Not far from K4 or 71 bus stops. Get off before the roundabout and it's a fairly short walk down Mansfield Road, just behind Kings Centre.β
