A nice clean park, well looked after by the local authorities. I take my dogs there for a stroll and they love mixing with other dogs and their owners. It's also a nice place just to walk and clear your mind. Best to go in the spring and summer warmer evenings for a wander, can also see some bat's flittering around the trees.

πŸ† Family Action Verdict

A reliable free local park for families with children of all ages who want playground time alongside football or tennis. The gated enclosure suits families with younger children. Come prepared with drinks and snacks β€” there are no on-site facilities. Daytime family visits are the norm; evening visits attract a different crowd.

ℹ️ What to Know Before You Go

πŸ’‘Bring your own drinks β€” the on-site water fountain is not working
⏰Pack snacks as there are no cafes or shops within the park
🎟️Tennis equipment is needed if you want to use the court β€” none is provided
πŸš—Daytime visits are most family-oriented

β€œGreat place to walk the dog as gated all around. Also has a nice playground for young and older kids also gated. If only the drinking fountain still worked and they def could do with more bins to get rid of the waist. A shelter area for when it’s raining would also be much appreciated! The tennis court is not used much so usually a match of tennis would be possible”

β€œDecent enough. Only 2 football pitches, quite busy. No toilets, as we know the councils are tight! Don't enjoy yourself too much!”
