1 / 3Rowans Tenpin Bowl
📍 London, Greater London
Two-floor entertainment complex with 24 bowling lanes, 13 pool tables, arcade games, and karaoke rooms. DJ disco bowling parties feature synchronised lighting and music. Licensed bars throughout. Best for school-age kids and teens.
Rowans Tenpin Bowl in Finsbury Park is a lively and varied entertainment space that manages to blend the casual thrill of a bowling alley with the buzz of a weekend hangout spot. With 24 fully air-conditioned lanes, it comfortably accommodates groups both large and small, while arcade games, pool tables, karaoke, DJs spinning in the evenings and a bar make it much more than just a bowling night. The atmosphere is energetic—especially during peak hours—but there are quieter moments midrange when the noise subsides, making it a nice option for more relaxed evenings too. On the flip side, a few things can dampen the experience depending on when you visit. During busy times, service can struggle—staff seem pressed, and ordering food or drinks may take longer than expected. Some reviews also mention that staff attitudes are hit-or-miss, which detracts from what is otherwise a fun night out. For visitors seeking a balance of entertainment, food, and atmosphere, Rowans definitely delivers—just plan ahead if you're going during peak hours.
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for families with older children and teens who want bowling plus arcade games, karaoke, and a lively DJ atmosphere. Midweek visits deliver a calmer, family-focused experience. Friday and Saturday evenings lean heavily adult — plan daytime visits with younger kids. Groups of 6+ can make the most of combining multiple activities in one session.

“Dear Terry, AP & the Rowans Team, I wanted to reach out to express our sincere thanks for hosting our corporate event at your venue. The event turned out wonderfully well, and we were thoroughly impressed. Your upgraded facilities were excellent, and the level of care we received contributed significantly to the smooth running of the evening. I would like to extend special recognition to AP, who was truly outstanding in looking after us throughout the event. His exceptional service and attention to detail made such a difference to our experience. See you next year!”

“Best bowling alley in London! Thought I'd just come to a regular bowling alley but there are 2 floors, an arcade room, a pool room, and live DJ sets on each floor so you can have a drink and a dance if you're not playing. On Friday and Saturday nights it's basically an adult playground. I had a great time and look forward to coming back. Thanks to all the staff that keep the place nice for us punters 🫶🏾✨”

“So much fun! We basically tried everything here in one day for a birthday: karaoke, arcade, bowling, dancing, smoking area. It was my first time here, and strangely made me feel nostalgic for a past I didn't have. Maybe because of its Americana theme, and having watched The Big Lebowski recently. Such a gem of a venue.”
