1 / 2Finsbury Park Picturehouse
π London, Greater London
Modern seven-screen cinema in Finsbury Park with comfortable reclining seats, diverse programming including foreign language films, captioned performances every week, and The Club Room live event space with table service.
Great cinema with friendly staff and comfortable reclining seats. Screen one here is my favourite of all of the Picturehouse cinemas. I really appreciate that they show foreign films here and they have multiple captioned performances every week. They have just launched a new live event space called the Club Room, where they offer table service and you can watch films or live performances such as comedy and music in cabaret-style seating.
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families with older children who want a more eclectic, independent cinema experience than the mainstream multiplex chains offer. The captioned performances and foreign film slate make it a good pick for language-conscious families.

βWent to see a concert in the Club Room. Very private and unique setting with just a few cabaret style tables, small stage in the front and bar at the back. Bar had food and drink on waiter service basis. Camden Hells is an excellent local beer; the pizza is crisp, tasty and scrumptious. Very few bars served a Margherita cocktail with Tagine in the rim. This one does. Would happily go back again.β

βReally enjoyed coming here, the programming at Picturehouses are probably the best out of the UK cinema chains. Also the interior design here is incredible and it really feels like somewhere you can relax and enjoy yourself. Can be a bit expensive compared to other cinemas but the seats are ridiculously comfortable and youβre almost guaranteed to have a much better experience than cheaper cinemas.β

βA relic that forgets itβs in the service industry. Finsbury Park Picturehouse is desperately overdue for a reality check. While nearby competitors like Odeon and Everyman offer modern comfort and seamless service, this venue feels like a decaying time capsule. The "Members' Room" is a depressing, windowless box, and the cinema seating is legitimately uncomfortable. However, the physical failings pale in comparison to the management. Customer service is non-existent; the manager is unhelpful, defensive, and refuses to take an ounce of accountability for guest issues. Unless youβre looking for a "nostalgic" experience where being treated like an afterthought is part of the ticket price, give this one a miss. It falls short on every measurable levelβ
