Royal Museums Greenwich
š London, Greater London
National Maritime Museum and Queen's House are free; Royal Observatory and Cutty Sark require paid entry. Planetarium shows, interactive astronomy galleries, and a working tea clipper deck make this a multi-visit destination for school-age families.
š¼ļø Wow, what a huge museum including a park! It is definitely a must see if you visit London. There is a lot of history to see both outside and inside. Unfortunately I wasn't able to take many photos, so I only uploaded these here. the area is really, really big. š£ If you liked my Google Maps reviews, I would be happy about a like here. š Family Action Verdict
Best for school-age children aged 7 and up who can absorb history and astronomy content across a large complex. Families with under-5s will find the steep hill to the Observatory tough with buggies. Annual membership pays off quickly given the entry costs for Observatory and Cutty Sark. Multiple cafes and picnic spots suit a full-day visit.

āLovely place, and it's well worth buying membership. You got free access for one year to the Observatory, Planetarium and Cutty Sark, skip the line at the National Maritime Museum, and discount at the shops. Playground and ice cream near the Queen House and also beautiful park and views.ā

āWent to the royal observatory. It was a great day out with lovely views. It was quite a steep walk up, and we went to the wrong place at first. Would love to come back and explore more of the areaā

āFree entry. Great for children. We enjoyed the different rooms which had different themes and times through the history of ships and exploration.ā

Overview
Royal Museums Greenwich spans four sites across Greenwich Park. The National Maritime Museum houses maritime history from Tudor voyages to modern exploration with hands-on galleries. The Royal Observatory sits atop the hill with planetarium shows and the Prime Meridian line. Cutty Sark lets children walk the historic clipper's deck. Queen's House adds Baroque architecture and art to the mix. Audio guides and family activity trails run throughout.
