I went along to meet a cat that had a lot of needs. She had been found in a shed feeding her 5 kittens, all on her own. Amazing. The fear was, if she got out, then she would go feral. I didn't want that to happen. It was decided thay I wasn't the right home for her. The staff are so helpful and purely want the best for each cat in their care. I am being kept as a potential home for the next available one. I already have cats at home, so my new cat must be able to live with other cats. I would advise anyone to rescue a cat or dog from the RSPCA, make an appointment, and find your new family member. All animals deserve a loving home. It is so rewarding. Its unconditional love ❤ī¸

🏆 Family Action Verdict

Best for families with children aged 6 and over who are genuinely interested in animal welfare and conservation. The experience is more meaningful than a typical zoo visit — children engage with real rescue work. Families bringing an injured animal found by their child will find the staff response warm and informative.

“What a beautiful place that helps any creature. My 10 year old son found this malnourished and poorly baby crow. We took it to the centre and the staff were wonderful, they were very grateful and praised mh boy for helping, he was upset to leave him so they gave him a reference number so he could call on check on the bird to see if he was OK. They gave him lots of information on how to help in the future. Excellent team 👏”

“We found a poorly baby hedgehog and didn't know what to do with it. We rang RSPCA at Stapeley, and we were asked to feed it and keep it warm in a cardboard box. We did this and then took it over to Stapeley. We were seen straight away, and it was explained that it would be fed and treated, and when it was well enough, it would be released back to the wild where it belongs. The staff were informative and very friendly.”

“Very helpful and they took in a mouse for us that my cat brought home, it had no puncture wounds but they gave it anesthetic and the staff were lovely.”
