1 / 2Swanley Skatepark
π Swanley, Greater London
Free outdoor skatepark within Swanley Recreation Ground offering a range of ramps and rails. Better suited to intermediate and advanced skaters; access across the field can get muddy after rain.
Great sake-park set within the recreation ground. Thereβs a good selection of ramps and rails for all abilities. Itβs a bit vandalised with graffiti but then most skate parks are these days. Itβs a nice facility in the day, probably not the safest place to hang around at after dark.
π Family Action Verdict
Best for confident skaters aged around 10 and up who can handle ramps without safety railings. Beginners and BMX riders should the layout does not flow well and ramp lips are slippery. Daytime visits only β lighting is not functional after dark. Supervise younger children closely given the ramp design.

βTook my son Billy to the skate parkβhe had a great time. Good variety of ramps, though some spots are slick, so itβs better during the day and with supervision.β

βPretty good, only issue I have is there isnβt a real path across the field and itβs very muddy so your skateboard gets covered it dirt and some of the ramps get caked in itβ

βQuite dangerous for novices... There is very little deck at the top of the ramps so it's easy to overrun when landing.. and fall off as there is no railing. Definitely I wouldn't recommend for BMX. It doesn't flow and the concrete and coping is extremely slippery for dropping in and turning on a ramp generally...β

Overview
Swanley Skatepark sits inside the recreation ground and provides a selection of ramps and rails at varying difficulty levels. Decks at the top of some ramps are narrow, with no safety railings β a challenge for beginners and BMX riders in particular. Field access becomes muddy in wet conditions, coating boards and ramp surfaces with dirt. Lighting after dark is poor.
