Open water swimming at Alexandra Lake with marked courses from 50m to 400m, inflatables, jumps, and an air bag. All swimmers must be aged 11+ and able to complete 400m continuously. Hot showers, wetsuit hire, and free parking available.
Excellent fun. We had shorty wetsuits which I think helped, even though the water wasn't that cold. An hour is long enough to do the park. The jumps are great fun and the air bag was the best, flinging my girls up in the air once I bounced off it. Fun for kids and the dads who are ahem ahem...helping them out.

Best for families with confident swimmers aged 11+ who want open water swimming with an added thrill element. The air bag and inflatables make it far more than a standard lake swim. Water can be cool early in the season â a shorty wetsuit removes that barrier quickly. One hour covers everything on the inflatable course comfortably.

âVisited on a sunny day and it was a pleasant experience. Well looked after shrubbery surroundings. Crystal clear water that has obviously well maintained filters. Security staff even look after the entrances in the eveningâ

âIncredible space for open water swimming and great customer service too. Easy in and easy out. Very clean, lockers, hot showers, coffee machine and free parking! Not a bad thing to be said about it!â

Overview
Swim Lakeside runs sessions on Alexandra Lake beside Lakeside Shopping Centre. The water is filtered to crystal-clear condition and courses are marked from 50m up to a full 400m loop. Inflatables, jump platforms, and an air-bag launcher add adventure beyond lap swimming. Hot showers, lockers, a coffee machine, and changing rooms are on site. Wetsuit hire is available for those without their own.
