It's great being back at the 'Sports Centre' again after all these years. The reception and pool staff are very friendly and helpful. The pool is as good as I remember it. Busy and quiet times, but that is to be expected at any sports facility. It would be great to see the coloured squares back on the wall again, even if they no longer serve a purpose. Oh!...and the gold running man, get him out of storage... ;-)

πŸ† Family Action Verdict

Best for families with children aged 1 to 7 who want to split time between the pool and soft play in a single visit. Saturday flume sessions are a reliable draw for older children. Staff across reception and poolside are consistently rated as friendly and helpful.

ℹ️ What to Know Before You Go

πŸ’‘Allow extra time for the car park β€” the layout is poor and spaces are sparse
⏰Book soft play timeslots in advance β€” confirmed slots have been refused at the door
🎟️Saturday flume sessions are a separate timed session β€” check availability before visiting
πŸš—Family tickets offer the best per-head value for mixed-age groups

β€œGreat little softplay. I have a one year old and a seven year old, they both had a good run about not too big for the little one. You can get a cake / lunch / coffee from the little cafe. I have always found the staff at the leisure centre to be friendly and helpful.”

β€œEasy to find. Good sized car park although not designed very well. Gym layout is a little odd but manageable. Good variety of classes to book via the app.”
