⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥 I honestly don’t understand why there is so much negativity about this place. Urban Fun Kingston is a brand-new venue and it’s clear a huge amount of effort and investment has gone into it. This place has reportedly cost over £4 million to develop and has created around 100 local jobs, which is something our community should be supporting, not tearing down. It offers something for everyone, families, young people, adults with food options for different needs (including halal) and a licensed bar for those who want it. That kind of inclusivity should be appreciated. Yes, it’s new. New machines sometimes need adjustments and improvements, that’s normal with any large entertainment venue. Things will only get better with time. The staff are doing their best, and it’s obvious the management is trying to create a safe, fun, and well run environment for the community. Regarding under-18s not being allowed after 8pm, that’s clearly a licensing requirement, not staff being “difficult”. These rules exist for safety and must be respected. Urban Fun has transformed Old London Road into a much more lively, enjoyable place to visit. It’s bringing positive energy, footfall, and a safe social space for Kingston. We should be encouraging businesses like this, not discouraging them. I’ll definitely be coming back and I hope people give it time to grow and succeed. Supporting local businesses matters. It is not fair that they are already sitting at around a 4 star rating, and it’s not even been one week. 😢

🏆 Family Action Verdict

Best for families with children aged 5 and up who enjoy arcade variety in a new, well-fitted venue. The credit card system removes cash handling and lets children manage their own spending across machines.

ℹ️ What to Know Before You Go

💡Top up the game card for good value — credits and ticket wins are all stored on the card
Visit earlier in the day when the venue is quieter
🎟️Steer children toward ticket-earning machines rather than claw machines for better value
🚗Under-18s have an evening curfew — check current policy before a late visit

We went for our first visit today! My daughter absolutely loved it, we topped up her card by £20 so she had 250 credits and when we left she still had credits left, she got to do everything she wanted and more. Definitely was needed in the area for the little ones and so much better topping up a card than needing lots of change. So many different machines to pick from, the horse one being my daughter absolute favourite, so much fun! Highly recommend taking your little ones here - we had so much fun and will definitely be back. We was also lucky enough to go on the family fun day (we was unaware) and got to meet the mascot and have a free face painting, staff where all so happy and lovely too!

My sons enjoyed their half term holiday in this new arcade. They played using game card with top up credits and tickets won are all stored in it. They also won little and big prizes easily!!! Thank you for amazing service. We will be back again.

Visited on a weekday evening and really liked the variety of games available. The racing games and ticket-based machines were genuinely fun and well set up. However, the claw machines were frustrating the cute plush ones felt impossible to win, while the less appealing prizes came out after a few tries. We were in a group and spent over £40 trying for the cute toys with no success, which made it feel rigged, a few others felt the same. Overall fun, but some of the machines seriously let the place down.
