1 / 3Vue Cinema Manchester - Printworks
π Manchester, North West
Premium cinema in Manchester's Printworks complex with ultra-comfortable recliner seating, a highly rated IMAX screen, and full pram accessibility. Consistent standout for picture and sound quality in the North.
Visited 29/06/2025, booked to watch film on screen 14 on the third floor. There is escalators and for accessibility there is a lift if needed. There doesnβt appear to be any car park validation machines at the location as there used to be in the past, which means you will need to factor in either expensive parking nearby or use public transport (Shudehill interchange is adjacent to the Printworks and Victoria station is also close by). When arrived at third floor, purchased items from the concessions area and served by a very helpful gentleman who served us very quickly. I was able to use Sky VIP two free tickets, which was great and enjoyed the film even more as the seats were all recliners, very comfortable and there was a partial rotating table for any food purchases, and a groove to keep the cup from spilling. What would be even better is if there was a space to put the popcorn as part of the arm rest section so it doesnβt get knocked over, which unfortunately happened as screen is obviously not well lit when film is playing. Would recommend βοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈ
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families with children old enough to sit through a full film comfortably. The recliner seats are the standout feature and work especially well for a relaxed family outing. The IMAX screen is exceptional for big-release films. Use public transport or factor parking costs into the budget β validation is no longer available at the venue.

βSo comfortable! Pleasantly surprised to find they have reclining chairs and it was such a lovely experience. What was even better was we got free tickets out the sun newspaper to watch a preview of the I swear film the week before it came out. Itβs wasnβt full or even busy, and no one scanned our barcode or checked we had tickets anywhere, we just walked straight in after asking where the screening is π€£ we were in screen 12 where you had to take 4 different escalators up, so would defo recommend taking the lift. We did buy a small pop corn π½ and a small drink, which are both large and enough for 2 people, it was annoying at the kiosk there was no prices, just the rolling ads for offers like McDonalds so very difficult to see any prices for more than 1 second.β

βIt's without a doubt the best movie theater experience you can have, and it's definitely my go-to spot whenever my mood is feeling down. The food is always excellent, and the movie selections are top-notch. What truly sets them apart is the incredibly smooth and comfortable recliner seats. Just sinking into them relaxes you instantly, allowing you to enjoy the movie completely undisturbed and stress-free. It's genuinely the perfect place to unwind and escape. The sound quality is phenomenal, the staff are friendly and attentive, and the overall ambiance is incredibly welcoming. The walkway leading into the theater itself is designed to genuinely make you feel welcome and excited for your movieβ

βFive stars for the IMAX which is exceptional and in my experience only beaten by BFI London. Very pleased to have such incredible tech in the North. Been going for probably 20+ years now. Itβs due a seating upgrade/refurb though (squeaky hinges, somewhat worn etc)!β
