This is a beautiful park to walk around ,it's location is just right for many people to take advantage of as it is not far from the 50 bus terminus. A small activity area near the entrance and a picnic area and basketball court at the far end of the park .l have seen deer roaming in the park in the mornings. This is stunning in both summer and winter months

🏆 Family Action Verdict

Best for nature-curious families who want more than a standard playground — the deer sightings, stream, and foraging opportunities make this a genuinely engaging outdoor experience for children willing to explore.

Walkers heath is an excellent spot to go mushroom foraging, look for wildlife and to just get that mindfulness all worked out. It really is a pretty spot that takes my troubles away and helps to make me happy when I'm feeling down. If you go to the stream there are freshwater live shrimp which are fun to catch, always remember to put them back!
