1 / 3Alexandra Palace Ice Rink
📍 London, Greater London
Large indoor ice rink at Alexandra Palace open to all abilities from age 3. Seal, penguin, and snowman skating aids available for young children. Ice resurfaced between every session. Spectator tickets sold separately.
It's a good area, right on top of a hill with amazing views at the top. Also known as Alley Palley. The ice rink was fun , they have all available skates on site to hire and use for all sizes. I would recommend arriving earlier to ensure you get parking, that's the only thing that might delay you a bit. Also keep in mind the sessions are generally packed especially during half term or holiday season, you will find the ice rink is packed with a lot of people , so keep in mind it will be busy but otherwise quality is good and can't go wrong for a day out! Highly recommend activity to do with family , couples, with friends.
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for families mixing complete beginners with more confident skaters — the rink is large enough that different ability levels can coexist comfortably outside peak periods. Children from age 3 can use the skating aids independently.

“Fantastic Ice Skating Experience! I had such a great time here! The ice rink was clean and well-maintained, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was lively, with good music and a fun vibe for both beginners and experienced skaters. The rental skates were in good condition, and there was plenty of space to skate comfortably. It’s a perfect place for families, friends, or even a solo skate session. Highly recommend for a fun and active day out!”

“Been multiple times and it’s always great. It’s a large rink that isn’t too busy and is good for fun or training. The ice is nice and is cleared and smoothed over every new session. It’s overall really great and I really would recommend going.”

“We skate here every weekend. Everything is great. The ice is prepared for each session. The rental skates are surprisingly good. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded, so book tickets in advance and arrive 15 minutes early.”
