1 / 3Battersea Sports Centre
π London, Greater London
Battersea Sports Centre offers swimming, gym, padel and pickleball courts, martial arts, and Footiebugs sessions. Indoor and outdoor spaces with cafe, parking, and pram access. Hosts family event days and birthday parties.
Great small gym, friendly staff - Scott the PT there is one of the most approachable people ive met in a London gym. Always relatively quiet and often empty outside of peak hours
π Family Action Verdict
Best for active families prioritising variety and affordability over premium facilities. Family event days deliver a genuinely fun atmosphere. Gym condition and reception service are inconsistent enough that first-time visitors should do a walkthrough before committing to membership.

βReview of padel court only. Pros: - Cheapest around - lots of availability Cons: - court is under a large oak tree so lots of debris can build up in the edges - no lights at night, visibility is poor - walls are free standing so gaps along edges, very little bounce because of this. Doesn't help that people use it for football despite there being an adjacent pitchβ

βVery rude and disrespectful women at the front desk no manners threatened to call the police just because were training on the pitch didn't even want us on in the first place was very rude when we were booking the pitch always wants to keep us of from playing football. However other staff are really kind and polite. This could be an amazing facilities to keep young people of the streets but instead she does everything to keep them out of these facilities horrible and rude she thinks she owns the place even telling us to report her people like this shouldn't be working at community/ public sport centreβs like this especially one in an council estate where young people should be out playing football and other sports.β

Overview
The centre covers a wide activity range: swimming pools, a gym, padel and pickleball courts, and sports clubs including martial arts and Footiebugs for younger children. Birthday party hosting and family event days are available. Outdoor padel is under a large oak tree and has no lighting, making daytime play preferable. Gym cleanliness and reception staff consistency are both flagged in recent reviews. Scott the PT is named specifically for approachability.
