📍 Openshaw, North West
Indoor bouldering with top-out walls, weekly route resets, dedicated Youth Climbing Club for ages 6–17, daily beginner inductions, a cafe and licensed bar, and free parking. Dog-friendly. Ages 6+.
Absolutely thrilled with our first visit today! My wife, a complete novice to climbing, found the onboarding session spot-on (I did too) our instructor Robin, was incredibly kind, attentive, patient and an excellent teacher. The variety of climbing walls and skill levels is impressive—there's something for everyone! We were so impressed that we signed up as soon as we got home! Looking forward to coming here every day to get into the best shape! The venue is clean, spacious, and the staff are genuinely friendly. Unlike typical gyms, this place welcomes you no matter your fitness level, and there's zero judgment from anyone. The fellow climbers were all very polite too. We both wholeheartedly recommend this place—1000%!
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for families with children aged 6+ seeking structured progression from their very first climbing session. The Youth Climbing Club offers proper coaching across skill levels. Parents can wait in the cafe or drop off and leave — both work. The beginner induction makes a cold first visit straightforward.

“My 10 year old daughter has recently done the kids session on a Saturday morning (10am) and last weekend moved onto the level 1 kids class (12pm) for 4 weeks. £10 per session and you get 90 minutes which i think is really good. Theres a cafe that parents can wait in but you don't have to stay, the prices are very good in the cafe (£1 for tea). There is also free parking outside but easily accessible via the 219 bus also. The center is very clean and all the staff have been friendly and good with the kids. My Daughter really likes the classes and i can see her using this center for a long time!”

“Lots of great climbs of all levels with lots of easy ones for beginners. Top out boulders are great fun and a welcomed change from most gyms. Really friendly staff. Clean toilets and changing rooms.”
