Cineworld West India Quay
π London, Greater London
Ten-screen cinema near Canary Wharf with spacious screens and a range of seating options including black star seats. Facilities are dated and prices are competitive for the area.
This is a nice cinema located near Canary Wharf. It has ten spacious screens, each offering a variety of seating options. I particularly enjoy the black star seats. I had a great experience during my visit. The cinema was warm, the seats were comfortable, and the screens were clean. The staff were friendly and helpful, and there was a good selection of food and drink options available for purchase on the first floor.
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families prioritising value and spacious screens in Canary Wharf who are comfortable with basic facilities. The wide screens work well for family blockbusters. For longer films, consider the seating comfort before committing, especially for younger children with less tolerance for an uncomfortable chair.

βCineworld Canary Wharf has surprisingly decent prices for being in Canary Wharf, and the screens are big and spacious, which is great. That said, the whole place feels like it hasnβt changed since the 90s. The seats are unbelievably uncomfortable β you spend half the film adjusting position instead of enjoying it. It really needs a proper refurbishment. Itβs also a shame that, being in such a prime location, they donβt make more of the bar area. Youβd expect decent cocktails and a bit of atmosphere, but instead it feels almost abandoned, like an afterthought no one quite knows what to do with. Good prices for the area, yes β but it definitely feels like a cinema that hasnβt kept up with its postcode.β

βThis place is nowhere near as busy as it used to be; I can kinda understand why! No staff at the desks if customers want to pay cash for a ticket you can only purchase food and drink from the first floor only escalators working were the ones going up. The volume in screen 10 was so loud! Would come againβ

βWe arrived at the cinema today and our film was cancelled with electrical works clearly happening in the foyer and screen. We recieved no communication of this and there wasn't even a sign at the (empty) front desk so we bought snacks and everything before heading up to be disappointed. After eventually tracking down a member of staff, they were very kind and were quick to give us two complimentary tickets in case the refund didn't go through (as we hadn't been notified of the cancellation). However we are now quite disappointed, eating our popcorn sat outside the cinema!β

Overview
Cineworld West India Quay runs ten screens with generous legroom and black star seating options. Food and drinks are available on the first floor only. The building retains a 1990s feel throughout and seating comfort is basic β longer films will test your patience. Pram access is available. Cash desk service is unreliable so online booking is advisable.
