“Colindale Park: Now Featuring Rats as the Main Attraction I’ve lived in Colindale for years, and it breaks my heart to see what’s happened to our park. What was once a little green escape now feels like a landfill with bonus wildlife – and not the good kind. There’s litter everywhere, bins overflowing, and people chucking bread and food scraps around, turning the place into an all-you-can-eat buffet for the local rat population. These aren’t shy little creatures either – they’re bold and everywhere, like they’ve claimed the park for themselves. And while we’re at it: what’s that weird structure/“attraction” at top of the park where all the pigeons sit? The one absolutely plastered in bird droppings? Is that meant to be art, or just an oversized perch? Either way, it’s disgusting. It’s embarrassing that a community park has been left to rot like this. We deserve better. Clean it up, get rid of the rats, stop the pigeon mess, and give Colindale Park back to the people – not the rodents and birds.”
