1 / 3Cambridge Gardens
📍 London, Greater London
Picturesque riverside gardens on the west bank of the Thames with a playground, cafe, accessible toilets, and direct walking access to Marble Hill House and Orleans House.
A nice little park for kids of all ages. Wonderful views of Richmond across the river. With a route that leads straight to Marble Hill via the river, it's a great spot for kids to play. However, the café's personnel was kind and the service was excellent. Additionally, the disabled community has complete access to a unisex restroom.
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for families wanting a relaxed riverside outing that combines playground time with a longer walk. The link to Marble Hill makes it a natural anchor for a half-day route along the Thames. Quieter than central Richmond — better suited to families who prefer a calmer pace over a full activity-packed day.

“Lovely picturesque gardens on the west bank of River Thames. A quiet haven from the bustle of Richmond. There's a children's play ground, picnic tables and great little cafe, with indoors and outdoors seating and a WC. In March the Magnolia Café earns its name.”
