1 / 2Drusillas Park
📍 Polegate, Greater London
Drusillas Park combines hundreds of exotic animals in spacious enclosures with Go Wild and Get Wet adventure play zones, family rides, soft play, and SPARK — the UK's largest interactive immersive play experience. Keeper talks included.
I have been going to Drusillas for over 30 years seeing it grow to one of the best animal parks around. Staff are friendly. Food is really good. Two places to eat the restaurant does lovely food but is a little more expensive but great if it’s a real treat and nice if the weather is raining or cold, the fast food cafe by the play park is really well priced £8.50 for child’s meal and think I only paid £32 for three adult meals. Make sure you get to the birds when they open or they will be too full to feed from the nectar. Nectar cost £1.50 Book the experience for between 11.30am or 12noon but feed the birds first they are just past it. Animals and the best part. I love the squirrel monkeys.,Enjoy your day.,
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for families with children aged three to twelve who want a full day combining unique animals with adventure play. The SPARK immersive experience and Go Wild zone ensure wet-weather resilience. Book tickets online for a meaningful discount. Bring your own food if budget is a consideration — the cafe is expensive for what you get.

“Went on a group home education booking, which made it affordable. Spent about 5 hours here with 4 children ranging from 3-12yrs and they all had a fantastic time. This was in spite of the fact it was pouring when we got there. There are things to do when its raining, which was a relief. The time spent in the Discovery room was excellent, the leader was brilliant with the children.”

“Great for four year olds, but a lot of fun for grown ups too. The animals on show are fascinating and they have spacious, comfortable enclosures. Entry price is steep, but it's a full days adventure.”

“We’re about 2 hours away so hadn’t even heard of this place a week ago, but so glad we made the trip! We bought tickets online beforehand which is 20% cheaper, and there was £5 entry for kids with a paying adult during half term, so about £100 for a family of 5. I think this is very reasonable, in summer presume it would be more like £140-160 so getting a little pricey but still ok. The park itself was so good though, it’s not state or the art and a few bits here and there could do with an update, but it’s clean and there is so much to do. What’s really great is the variety which caters for different kids. Ours are 6, 8 and 10 and they all loved it. You have animals, and, they are very different to the usual ones you see at these places, really impressive, plus there’s lots of interactive bits and you can feed the birds etc. You then have a fantastic playpark, again with some really cool and different things, it’s not the same old stuff. There are some bits you have to pay extra for, like an inflatable slide and climbing wall, which I didn’t think was bad value. There is an indoor sensory room / play area which I did find expensive as we had to pay for us adults even though we’re clearly not playing, and, there is nowhere to sit and you can’t take food or drink in! It’s £3.25 per person, which for kids I could get on board with, but I think charging adults is a bit cheeky. Food was great, different places to eat and lots of options for coffee etc. Adult cheeseburger meal was £12, which is what you’d expect at any sort of theme park, but it was actually decent, not like Merlin food! Then you have some fairground rides too, which are primarily for smaller children but our 10 year old went on and enjoyed them too, as did we! Overall, a fantastic place and somewhere we thought we’d visit once but will now definitely go back in summer - loved it!”

Overview
Drusillas Park in East Sussex houses exotic animals across naturalistic enclosures, with keeper talks and animal encounters built into the day. Adventure zones include Go Wild outdoor play and Get Wet water play. SPARK uses interactive technology across a large indoor space. Family rides, soft play, and conservation displays fill the gaps. The restaurant and a more casual eating area both operate on site.
