π Eastbourne, Greater London
Railway-themed adventure park with a nearly one-mile miniature railway, nature walks around a five-acre lake, crazy golf, adventure playground, under-fives play area, and a maze. Railway-style cafe and free parking on site.
A lovely and beautiful place in Eastbourne. Features a miniature railway which travels around the outskirts past a lovely fishing lake and wooded area. The little locos are really great and there are quite a few of them. The day I visited there were no mini steam engines in service , there was a replica of an old BR diesel loco which did a great job pulling the little sit over carriages along. The entrance price includes one train trip but additional tickets can be purchased for Β£1.50. The fishing lake is very tranquil and quite beautiful. It's possible to walk all the way around it and if you are lucky you'll see plenty of birds, there is even a bird watching hut where I saw a woodpecker amongst others. There is a woodland walk and a garden area with fountains and also a small maze. For kids there are various picnic areas and play parks and there is also a fun mini golf course which again is included in the entry price. Food, drinks, ice creams are all available. I had a tasty milkshake which was refreshing on a warm day. All in all a nice visit, it's primarily for younger kids but I like trains of any kind so I liked that part very much but it was also really nice to walk around the lake and enjoy the tranquility. Parking is free.
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families with young children who love trains and outdoor space. The miniature railway is the centrepiece, with the lake walk, crazy golf, and playgrounds filling the rest of a half-day visit. Very young children sensitive to noise should sit towards the rear of the train to avoid the horn and smoke at close range.

βHad a wonderful day here, staff were very friendly. Trains are amazing and are the star of the show. They also have a mini crazy golf area and a wonderful play area with a separate toddler section my daughter loved. Food was good and service was fast. Only down side was other visitors that donβt watch their children and had no idea their older children were being destructive in the toddler area, I appreciate itβs hard for the staff to control but I would recommend more staff to oversee this area every thirty minutes to avoid children being injured or damaging the facilities.β

βBrilliant day out perfect for families especially those with small children. The miniature steam railway is amazing and a lovely ride around the whole park. Just be careful if you have a young one in front as the train horn and smoke can be hard for little ones so you might want to sit further back. Plenty of playgrounds, crazy golf, maze, lake and seating dotted around for ease. Nice snack shops and cafe along with gift shop that sells trains, toys and memorabilia. Really easy, booking in advance saves 50p a ticket. Highly recommend!β

βWhat a wonderful hidden gem. First time visitors after driving past many times. Lots to do with the highlight being the fantastic miniature steam trains. Very reasonably priced for entry, did and drinks and there's crazy golf and woodland walks too!β
