This park has recently been gentrified; it wasn’t too bad before, but now it’s lovely. I walk my dog through here in the mornings before work (this is an on-lead area) and he loves it. There is now an outdoor gym, ping pong table, new picnic tables, beautiful flowerbeds and lots for the kids to do. This park is very clean and I have not seen any criminal activity taking part here, unlike some of the larger parks in the area.

πŸ† Family Action Verdict

Best for local families with children aged 3 to 10 looking for a quick play session. The outdoor gym and ping pong table give adults and older kids something to do alongside the children's equipment. No toilets on site means it is not a practical half-day destination for families travelling from further afield.

ℹ️ What to Know Before You Go

πŸ’‘No toilets or water on site β€” sort both before arriving
⏰Dogs allowed on lead throughout
🎟️Bring snacks; there are picnic tables and no food vendor
πŸš—Equipment suits children 3 and up best

β€œGood little park for young local families and for dog owners. They have just updated and renovated the children's play area too.”

β€œThe playground is small and simple but had what we needed to entertain our 5 year old. I was sad to see trash all around the park when we visited.”

β€œDecent playground for children. Not very suitable for children under 3 years of age. It's fun for my children when they have each other or some one else to play with.”

Overview

Edbrooke Rd Playground received a full renovation adding outdoor gym equipment, a ping pong table, new picnic tables, and flowerbeds alongside the children's play area. Pram access is straightforward. The site has no toilets or water fountain, which makes it better suited to shorter visits. Equipment is designed for children 3 and up β€” reviewers note it is less engaging for under-3s without a companion to play with. Dogs are welcome on lead.
