1 / 2Eel Brook Common
📍 London, Greater London
Community park in Fulham with a children's playground best suited to under-8s, basketball and tennis courts, and open grass used for football and dog walking. No on-site cafe — nearby options are a short walk away.
I went for a walk through Eel Brook Common the other morning and it is such a great local spot to just breathe and get away from the traffic for a bit. I love how it feels like a genuine community space where you see people walking their dogs or playing football and it never feels too crowded or overwhelming. The grass is well kept and there are plenty of spots to just sit on a bench and people-watch which made it the perfect little break in my day.
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for families with children under 8 who want a low-key, accessible community park without entry fees or queues. The playground suits toddlers and early primary-age children well. Older kids can use the basketball and tennis courts independently. Plan food and drinks before arriving — on-site refreshments are not available.

“This is such a great public shared space! Amazing green space with huge trees in the heart of busy Fulham. Great playground best suited for under 8's , but my 11 year old granddaughter still loves hanging from the bars. There are tennis courts forcthose looking to keep fit orchave lessons. Also fantastic space for dogs where they can run and play ball. The best thing is my grandchildren can play and I can play on grass with the dog and still see them, dog and children worn out in one visit! Missing 5th star as their us no place on common to but refreshments. You need to walk 5 mins along road for cafe, which doesn't sound much but I have to confess does spoil my walk sometimes.”

“Nice little urban park that's quite busy as you can imagine. Lacking immediate facilities like a cafe or snake bar. Although there a pub and Lebanese grills restaurant opposite and adjacent to the park. Street parking is good locally n free after 5pm.”
