1 / 3Golders Hill Park
đ London, Greater London
Free-entry park in Hampstead featuring a mini zoo, walled gardens, seasonal flower displays, duck ponds, woodland trails, playground, and a popular cafe with ice cream parlour.
Gentle, welcoming and quietly charming. I like it for its human scale. It is not vast or dramatic, but carefully kept and easy to enjoy at an unhurried pace. The gardens, ponds and small animal enclosures give the park a calm, almost domestic feel, especially appealing for relaxed walks and quiet moments. For me, Golders Hill Park is another example of what London does so well â creating green spaces that feel cared for, personal and effortlessly comforting.
đ Family Action Verdict
Best for families with toddlers and young children who want animals, nature, and open space without crowds or cost. The mini zoo and duck ponds hold young children's attention well. Arrive by public transport or on foot â vehicle parking is restricted to pre-registered disabled spaces only.
