1 / 3Highbury Fields Playground
📍 London, Greater London
Large free playground in Highbury with age-divided sections, a very tall straight slide, extensive climbing apparatus, zip wire, large sandpit, small splash pad, and picnic tables. On-site attendants and toilets included.
Visited on a Saturday afternoon in early May. It’s an outstanding playground. Nicely divided into two sections, one for younger kids and one for older. The younger section has a big sand out, infant/toddler swings, small slides, etc. The older kids section has a truly impressive, very tall, straight slide. Also a variety of climbing apparatus, older-kid swings, zip line. There Are toilets and playground attendants. There’s also a small water feature area. Overall, we had a great time here and will definitely return.
🏆 Family Action Verdict
An outstanding playground for families with children across multiple age groups — the divided sections mean toddlers and older children each have appropriate equipment without competing for the same structures. The giant straight slide, zip wire, and climbing frames are strong enough draws to justify traveling past closer parks.

“My two-year old's favourite park. It has many areas: -A GIANT slide -A climbing structure for older kids but it's safe for younger kids to climb as well (my 2 yr old does) -Different activities -very large sandpit -water area Just a very fun park to go to. We have 3 parks right next to us and we still do the 20 min walk to this one. It's so large that even when it's busy, it doesn't feel crowded.”

“Great playground for different ages. Therenis a small splash pad as well. Some picnic tables and a public toilet. Little place with a roof and benches to hide from rain. Lots to do, slides, swings, huge climbing frames, sand pit. Will be back, really enjoyed our time here and would really recommend this playground!”

“Very big and diversified playground with areas for play and explore in any age and on any stage. I like the facilities for the little ones and their carers. Walking to the woods in the play area (next to the sandpit) highly recommended.”
