Ive been swimming here for over 15 years and love the placeโฆ.. so much so I call it my โhappy placeโ This is where Iโve done all my training for my open water long distance swimming inc The English Channel and round Jersey twiceโฆ. Iโd be lost without this place โฆ.an amazing venue in the middle of our city ๐ The staff are always friendly , helpful , knowledgeable and very safety conscious looking out for us all of the time weโre in the water and when we are out especially in the winter ensuring we get dressed and warm quickly! The whole centre has a great vibe and is a great community where Iโve met lots of like minded people who have become good friends , staff included๐ 100% recommend this fab place whether itโs swimming , kayaking, paddle boarding, using the Aquapark or the swans โฆ.. xxxxx
๐ Family Action Verdict
Best for families with children of mixed ages wanting to try multiple water activities in one place, supervised by staff with genuine expertise rather than seasonal hires. Children who are nervous around water are specifically mentioned as being made comfortable rather than pushed.

โAfter wanting to have a go at wild swimming for ages, and getting increasingly frustrated by lane swims in the pool, my sister introduced me to the Liverpool Water-sports Centre a little over a year ago - now I rarely go a week without coming for at least one swim. I love the ever-friendly welcome, how it changes with the weather, and even the ghostly little moon jellies! The staff are fab - helpful, knowledgeable and vigilant. Iโve always felt very safe swimming here, with supervised swims and the brilliant swimming community. While the rest of the world seems at odds with each other, itโs been a little oasis - a melting pot of all different ages, walks of life and passions. If youโve ever considered dipping your toe into wild swimming this is the place to start โค๏ธโ

โLove this place. Weโve visited in the summer and in the autumn ish months. In the past weโve had a go on the inflatables - we took our year 6 kids as a treat for finishing junior school a few summers ago, parents and kids got involved so much fun. Our most recent visit was for the canoes in the summer holidays and loved it. The whole family got to try out their own canoe and canโt wait to go again. Itโs reasonably priced and the staff are really clear on the rules and your safety but most importantly they really want you to have a good time. Staff have been really good at calming nerves of beginners and full of advice. Definitely be going again to try something new or just for a family day out.โ

โGreat facilities and professionally run. Everyone maintained social distancing and had a good time ๐ #update# Haven't been for a while and decided to go this morning with our own paddleboards. I made a quick call to confirm availability, kit hire (we needed 1 x wetsuit for our son as he has grown since last season) and we were good to go. The staff are very helpful and eveything is reasonably priced. The cafe afterwards is a sun trap and we enjoyed some cold drinks and delicious cakes after 3 hours on the water ๐โ
