Marble Hill Playcentres
📍 Twickenham, Greater London
Outdoor play charity in Marble Hill Park, Twickenham, with separate areas for under-5s (One O'Clock Club) and 5–15 year olds (Adventure Playground). Specialist SENsational Saturday Club, holiday camps, and party hire available. Cafe on site.
My kids (3.5 and 2 years old) love going to the One O’Clock Club (for kids 0-5 years). It is now open till 5pm, giving more time to play after napping. The Playground is very safe - no swings or big slides or high climbing. And there are great play-workers there playing with the kids and doing all sorts of activities. That means I can relax and enjoy a cup of coffee!!! And yes - there is great coffee there now as well!! The kids can play inside and outside, so a great place to come rain or shine. Our favorite so far has been the big sand pit with a parasol over it. There is also a brilliant Adventure Playground for over 5s, where the kids play independently and the parents are not allowed. You can go in together on the family days (first Saturday of every month) with the younger ones as well. My daughter absolutely loved it! Disclaimer: I am one of the trustees of the charity that operates the playcentres. So you can see I am very excited about it :)) Come and try yourself!!! And feel free to ask any questions.
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for families with children aged 0–5 who want an outdoor space where toddlers can get genuinely messy and explore without restriction. The One O'Clock Club delivers that in spades — shoes off, mud welcomed, creative play encouraged. Families with children spanning the 0–5 and 5–15 ranges get a natural split across the two separate areas.

“The one oclock club is like the dream backgarden but of your best friends house so you don’t have to tidy up! Your children can run wild with no shoes, get wonderfully wet and grubby and generally have a bit of a 90s childhood experience. There a thousand different toys to play and experiment. I’ve got a 4 year old and a 1 year old and it suits them both perfectly. They can explore the space independently and it’s the perfect size for me to keep an eye on them without hovering over them. We love it!”

“The One O Clock Club and Adventure Playground are two of the best things about living in this part of London. We visit the OOCC nearly every weekend and neither of our children are ever bored. The staff are friendly and help facilitate play in a discreet way so the kids can just explore, and the cafe is fairly priced and well stocked. It's such good value for money and we're so lucky to have it.”
