Two-floor play café in Clapham with a basement soft play zone, climbing frames, ball pit, and big slide for under-5s. Air-conditioned basement, 90-minute sessions, healthy meals from Lune & Wild. Toddler and baby focused.

I had the opportunity to try out the playgroup going to the first ever official session. Wonderful place where little minds can get engaged using the busy board. Basement level has the soft play & wall bars. The ball pit is so cool! The big slide is very good too. I liked the tool station and the games which were left out for the children to play with at the tables. There is also a sensory 'window' under the slide with an other busy board. The other visitors were super nice, lovely local people. I found Millie & Maisie as a local community hub where locals with children can meet, make friends & socialise. Highly recommended place for mums who want to meet local mums or for nannies to meet other nannies. Also I have to mention 2 dads attended the session so please dads feel included! Millie and Maisie is a perfect place to visit with children. If you have a bigger one and a baby/toddler, they will both like it too! The staff was extremely friendly.

🏆 Family Action Verdict

The standout choice in Clapham for families with babies and toddlers under five. The basement is particularly well-designed for crawlers and under-1s, with clear sightlines throughout. Staff are consistently praised as genuinely warm — not performatively friendly. Music sessions are popular with babies from around 6 months.

We went today for the first time and it was a brilliant experience. I was a bit sceptical because of some of the poor reviews but I’m glad I didn’t let that deter me, definitely give it a try! The whole place is beautiful, most importantly clean and engaging for the children. I think there could be more role play areas however. We attended the cooking class today, it was their first one. Well thought out and my toddler loved it! She made a fruit salad and ate half of it as she prepped. The owners are so welcoming, you can see they’ve put an incredible amount of thought into it and it’s a lovely touch they both have a children’s education background — you can see they have a genuine passion to engage the children. One review said there’s no parking - not true. Lots of roads nearby are paid parking - Liston Road is one which is about a 30 second walk! I’d definitely come again. £10 for soft play and a class in such a beautiful clean space is great

I take my son to Millie & Maisie regularly and it’s honestly one of the best soft plays around. The whole place is spotless every time we visit and the staff are genuinely friendly not just “forced-smile” friendly. It’s laid out really well too. Everything is spaced out in a way that keeps my son entertained in every section without it feeling cramped or chaotic. His absolute favourites are the slide and the little hidden ball pit, he makes a beeline for them every time. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a clean, well-run soft play where kids can actually burn energy and parents can breathe for five minutes.

I'm a regular at Millie's Cafe. My child loves the music classes and the soft play. As a parent, I love the coffees and delicious treats they offer for us to purchase. I recently celebrated my child's 1st birthday party there and the staff was incredibly helpful and welcoming. My guests were in awe about how cool and fun the cafe is. Definitely a must-go for parents with children!
