ODEON Luxe Birmingham Broadway Plaza

“Been visiting Odeon Luxe Broadway Plaza on and off for a couple of years now and it remains a solid choice for a cinema trip. Went yesterday to see Crime 101 and had a great time as usual. The big pull here is obviously the luxe experience. The recliner seating is comfortable, the picture quality is excellent and the sound is great. Food and drinks are what you would expect from a premium cinema, decent quality and a good selection, though like most cinemas of this type the prices reflect the experience. Practically speaking it is a very easy venue to get to. There is plenty of underground parking available and it is well served by public transport, including the new metro line, which is a bonus. It sits in a convenient spot for people travelling from different parts of the city which is a big part of why it is our go-to when meeting friends. A personal note and by no means a criticism of the venue itself, but if you have a head for heights the open atrium escalators may give you pause, and the lift has a slightly jolting stop at the top that catches you off guard. Neither of these things detract from the experience in any meaningful way but worth a mention for anyone who may be sensitive to that sort of thing. The one thing I have noticed recently is a significant reduction in show times, with some films only getting a single screening per day. I am not sure whether this is specific to this venue or a wider trend across cinemas at the moment, but it has started to have an impact on what we are able to go and see and is worth bearing in mind when planning a visit. Overall though a great cinema and one I would happily recommend, particularly if you are after a comfortable and quality experience.”

“As a limitless customer for over 2 years now we do visit this cinema a lot and I must say the whole experience is fantastic. It looks very futuristic inside and being a luxe offers that extra level of comfort whilst watching your film. The screen s are huge and the sound quality is great too. The staff are very friendly and polite and the toilets are very clean indeed. Certainly worth a visit if you are in the area and want to watch a movie. There is also 3 hours of free parking which is a big car park underneath the cinema itself. Just make sure you validate your car registration when you are in the cinema. Highly recommended”

“Today, my son and I went to the Odeon Luxe cinema at the Broadway Plaza in Birmingham to see Avatar. The screening started at 4 p.m. in Screen 3. Having read many negative reviews about this cinema, we weren't sure we'd made the right choice. However, upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised. The staff were very attentive. The seats were very comfortable, clean and in perfect working order. The restrooms were clean, too. Although the ticket price was significantly higher than at other cinemas, it was definitely worth the extra cost. We'll definitely be back to see another film. Thank you so much for a lovely time!”

“Booked tickets online, website was clear and easy to access. Went on a weekday to this cinema it was quiet and there were hardly any queues for entry and purchasing drinks. During busier times on the weekend there are longer queues. Cinema foyer was clean and well maintained. Tickets are generally pricier at this location due to the luxe recliner seats but you get what you pay extra for.. very comfortable & high quality seats that recline to your preference. The film was in a Dolby screen with enhanced picture quality and sound compared to standard screens. Overall a very enjoyable and premium cinema experience.”
