Ever walk into a place and immediately feel like you belong? I didn’t expect to find a second home in a cinema, but that’s exactly what happened. I’ve been an Everywhere member since June 2024, and that’s not changing anytime soon. In my first four months, I watched 42 films (yes, I counted). But here’s the thing: the movies were never just about the movies. It was the people who made the movies extraordinary. The team here? Incredible. Aura introduced me to obscure titles that made my heart flutter. Amrit glides between screens like an elf from Middle-earth, trays never spilling a drop. Steph, the venue manager, indulges my enthusiastic movie reviews and my detailed commentary on how the downstairs toilets really do have the best interior design (they genuinely do). Bea makes everyone feel like the most important person in the building. I’m always welcomed by Ellie, Jayon, and Malachi. Sandie, whose spontaneous humor never fails to brighten my day. And so many more: Jayden’s rock-star fist bumps, Ares’ warmth, Binnal’s legendary cheesy chips, Muneeb and Aseeb’s energy, Emily’s kindness. They’re all part of why I keep coming back. In this cinema, between the films, beneath the lit marquee and among the laughter and conversations, I found joy. This isn’t just a cinema. It’s a sanctuary. This is for everyone at Everyman ★

🏆 Family Action Verdict

Older children and teens who can appreciate a quieter, more relaxed cinema experience get the most from this venue. The sofa seating and food service turn a standard film into an event. For family groups wanting to celebrate a birthday or mark a special occasion, this delivers well above a standard multiplex.

ℹ️ What to Know Before You Go

💡Request a screen other than Screen 2 if possible — some visitors have noted a burnt oil smell and bright fire exit signage there
Order food when the film starts rather than before for the smoothest dine-in experience
🎟️An Everyman membership pays back quickly for frequent visitors — check their current tiers
🚗Located in Birmingham Mailbox — easy to combine with a meal or shopping before the film

We really enjoyed the experience overall, and the staff were amazing — very friendly and helpful throughout our visit. There are just a couple of small things in Screen 2 that might be worth checking. There is often a noticeable burnt oil smell, which seems like it could be coming from a kitchen pipe or ventilation leading into the screen. It would be great if this could be looked into, as it can be a bit noticeable during the film. Also, the fire exit sign at the back of Screen 2 is extremely bright. During darker scenes you can even see your own shadow, which slightly takes away from the cinema atmosphere. If possible, it might be worth adjusting or dimming it a little (while still meeting safety requirements).

I went with my bf to see Zootroplis 2 and had been a regular customer to Everyman Cinema. But I have to say, I had the BEST and the FRIENDLIST (if that’s even a word) host ever xx Bebe! She’s awesome and so great. I’ve never had a bad experience with Everyman before but Bebe just brings it to another level. So welcoming and puts a smile on peoples face. I accidentally misordered something and she was able to quickly respond & solve the problem. If you ever come to Everyman cinema and meet Bebe, you’re in great hands!

A lovely Cinema in a great location for a date. Very comfortable sofas and a decent screen. You can order food and drink to your seat. If you're there for a matinée, the coffee is surprisingly good and reasonably priced.
