Fun for all ages—highly recommended! I visited Owls Play Centre with my children, and it was a fantastic experience! Kids of all ages—from Year 1 to Year 10—had a great time and made the most of the 1 hour and 30 minutes of playtime included in the ticket. The play area is clean, safe, and full of fun activities that kept them entertained the entire time. I also appreciated that outside food is allowed, and their in-house food is available at reasonable prices. A perfect spot for a fun family outing!

🏆 Family Action Verdict

Best for families with children aged 4 and up who can navigate busy, active environments independently. Toddler areas share space with older children, so parents of under-3s need to stay close. Weekday mornings are the low-traffic window — weekend visits mean queuing and parking waits.

ℹ️ What to Know Before You Go

💡Walk-ins only — arrive early on weekends to avoid a long queue
Pay for parking on arrival; budget extra time for delays during school holidays
🎟️Stay close to toddlers as younger and older play areas are not separated
🚗Outside food is welcome, reducing reliance on the cafe

Kids had a good time here. It was much cleaner than it used to be which was a relief. Can get a bit wild here with so many kids so you need to keep a close eye on little ones. And other parents, please supervise the bigger ones too. You can’t book in advance and you need to pay for parking.

Dear Management Team, Today, 17/02/26, I visited Fairlop Waters Country Park and used the children’s indoor play area (Owls Park). Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. The indoor area was extremely cold, noticeably colder than outside, despite it being a very cold day. My daughter began coughing, and I noticed at least four other children coughing as well. Most parents were wearing their jackets inside because of how cold it was. I asked to speak with the manager and requested that the heating be turned on. My concern was dismissed, and I was told that the room would become too warm. I found this response unacceptable, especially when children were clearly uncomfortable in the cold environment. I have been visiting regularly for the past 1.5 years, spending over £10 per visit on entry, food, and drinks. Today, due to the cold indoor temperature, we had to eat outside instead. This experience has left me very disappointed, and I do not plan to return until the summer. I hope you take this feedback seriously and ensure that the heating is used appropriately, especially during cold weather, to provide a safe and comfortable environment for children and parents. Kind regards, José Fernanded

We visited Owls over the weekend and it was extremely busy. By the time we left, there was a queue stretching outside, and with multiple parties taking place the environment felt very chaotic. One major concern was the lack of separation between the baby/toddler area and the section for older children. There are no gates or barriers, which is worrying when you have a young toddler. Our child ran into the larger play area where older children were running around and was pushed over. The open layout also makes it very easy to lose sight of small children. There didn’t appear to be any staff monitoring the soft play areas, and the main reason for my one‑star rating is the lack of safeguarding. There was no staff member supervising the exit gate. When we were leaving, a little girl walked out on her own with no adult. Thankfully I noticed she wasn’t with the family ahead of us, asked where her parents were, and took her back inside where she was reunited with her mum. This was extremely alarming given how busy it was and the complete lack of supervision at the exit. Unfortunately, due to these safety concerns, I won’t be returning for a long time.
