1 / 2Savoy Cinema Heaton Moor
π Heaton Moor, North West
Operating since the 1920s, this art deco independent shows new releases, classics, and live-streamed events. Sofa seating, a licensed bar, and a curated programme set it apart from multiplex chains.
We went to see Johnny Jewel on the 19th November and had a fantastic experience at The Savoy. The people and staff were super friendly and the show was amazing. We'll definitely be looking for upcoming shows and films and booking a couch. I can't recommend this place any higher. Love it.
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families with mobile children who can choose their own seats and enjoy the sofa experience. The cosy, community atmosphere is a strong contrast to corporate multiplexes. Families with wheelchair users should know seating is restricted to the front row with no movement during the film.

βWhat a great experience it is watching a film in this historic cinema, open since the 1920s! It has a friendly and cosy feel a million miles from the tightly packed-in experience you get at some faceless corporate multiplex cinemas. In addition to films they stream comedy/theatre/ballet performances on some occasions. There are very comfortable couches available and you can enjoy a coffee/cake or glass of wine with your film. A very minor downside is that the sound perhaps isn't quite as good as a very modern cinema but it was still absolutely fine, clear and didn't detract from the film experience. I hadn't been to the cinema for ages prior to this visit but will definitely go back to the Savoy!β

βSuch a great day we spent thereπ₯°π₯°π₯°π₯°Itβs amazing and the cinema screen size is huge with variety of seats choices. Lovely reception and amazing waiting area though small in size but cozy and full of entertainment. You could book online in advance to avoid staying in the waiting queue. Loved the options of snacks for kids π Organized , professional and friendly staff members. My kids loved the atmosphere there and I loved the building from the outside tooπ We will definitely go there againπ My kids loved the sofa seat they all cuddled in it leaving the other seats I booked π β
