Norris Bank Playground
📍 Stockport, North West
Minimal neighbourhood playground set within a small attractive park in Stockport. Equipment is sparse to a single swing and a climbing frame with slide, best for very young children or as a stop on a dog walk toward Heaton Moor.
Small playground with the basics in a beautiful small park. Great for a kid who needs to spend some excess energy.
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for families with children under 5 who just need a quick outdoor play stop in a calm, green setting. Older or more active children will exhaust the equipment within minutes. Pair it with a walk through to Heaton Moor to extend the outing.

“Not much for the children here, no matter the age. It lacks playground equipment”

“In need of a revamp. It is a shame that this park has barely any equipment in now compared to how it used to be. Considering it is located within/next to residential areas, it could be well used and loved by many ages of children if it were to be overhauled.”

“Not really alot for the children to call a playground/park but it is a very nice little walk for dogs where the kids can have a go on the swings or slide on the way...Good cut through for Heaton Moor too.”

Overview
Norris Bank Playground sits inside a small, well-kept park with pleasant surroundings. Equipment is minimal — one swing and a climbing frame with a slide — which makes it a quick energy-release stop rather than a destination visit. The park doubles as a dog-walking route and a cut-through to Heaton Moor. Free entry. Reviewers consistently flag that the equipment has been reduced over the years and call for renovation.
