1 / 3Crescent park playground
đ Stockport, North West
Well-used community park in Stockport with playground equipment suited to ages 3 and up, a football pitch, outdoor gym for adults, and ample space for bikes and scooters. Free entry.
I have loved this park since I was a little girl and even remember the chickens that lived in a garden which backed on to the old bowling green section. It has recently had some upgrades (after a 5G cable was laid right through the park and the playground) which certainly helps keep the kids entertained. Great spot for conker picking in Autumn too.
đ Family Action Verdict
Best for families with children aged 3 and up who want more than a standard playground. The adult outdoor gym means parents stay engaged rather than just waiting, and the open space handles bikes and scooters well. An hour or more is easily filled across all the facilities. Allow extra time on foot if the hedge path is overgrown.

âThe park is nice and gives space to different types of sports to be played. The play kids area is great. There is quite a lot of rubbish around and the hedge on the path has not been cut back so you have to walk on the road to get there. The Council needs to visit more often.â

Overview
Crescent Park Playground offers a wide activity spread across a generous footprint: varied play structures for children aged 3 and up, a football pitch, an outdoor gym for adults, and open paths suitable for bikes and scooters. The park received upgrades after cable infrastructure work disrupted it in recent years. Conkers are available in autumn along the treeline. Council maintenance has lagged on hedge trimming along one path and litter clearance.
