1 / 2The Look Out Discovery Centre
📍 Bracknell, Greater London
Interactive science and nature discovery centre in Bracknell's Crown Estate forest. Hands-on indoor exhibits, themed toddler event days, an outdoor playground, and multiple forest walking trails. Pram-friendly throughout.
We went to a toddler space day as well as a normal Look out day. We thought both were brilliant. There is so much to see and learn, inside and out. The staff were welcoming, especially on event days when they showed us were to go and what time things were starting. The Discovery centre is cleverly laid out to cater for all ages and levels of understanding with things lower down which my baby happily played with too. Toilets and baby change facilities were spacious and well maintained. The cafe is fairly priced and we had delicious hot and cold food, which arrived in good time. The sausage rolls were great! The playground is wonderful too! We didn’t have time to fully appreciate it so we’ll be back! Thanks for a great couple of days out.
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for families with children aged two to ten who learn through play and exploration. The themed toddler days are specifically designed for under-fives and are the strongest single-visit draw for that age group.

“Very nice place, not just for kids ;) Lovely learning experience through experiments and play. Giving 5 stars despite the fact I find this place to be aimed at smaller children rather than secondary school students. Don't get me wrong, everyone can find fantastic things to do, including me, but majority (again, in my opinion) of things are for smaller people. We will be back to explore the outside which we didn't have time for this time. Combining inside (3h session) and outside fun would make a nice whole day out.”

“We have fun every time we come here. The staff are so friendly and helpful. We went to a toddler day which was space themed and it was absolutely amazing. There is so much to see and it is all interactive so my Daughters both find it so interesting. This event had face painting, make and take activities and a star show. The star show was fantastic and the lady was lovely and interacted with all the children and sang songs at the end. The play park is brilliant too. Would recommend to everyone.”

“We had the best time, suitable for all the family and the kids were enthralled (I was worried they would be too old at 11 and 13, but despite being some of the oldest there they found plenty to do to keep themselves engaged). The staff simply couldn't have been kinder or more helpful. I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone if visiting in the area. There is also a fantastic cafe and outdoor play area as well as open forest to wander through as well. A full day of adventure!!”
