1 / 3VauxWall West Climbing Centre
π London, Greater London
Bouldering centre in railway arches near Vauxhall Station with walls ranging from beginner to advanced grades. Bouldering Basics classes for first-timers, drop-in sessions, and private coaching available. Step-free entrance.
Great gym. One of my favourite of LCC gyms. Huge amount of climbs that are regularly reset and excellently set. One wall is reset roughly each week so there is always plenty of fresh sets. It has some huge range of wall angles, including caves, slabs, barrels, overhangs, good arete features and even some great traverse walls. This is my favourite part of the gym. Even within each wall there will be a variety of angles and features, they really squeeze it in. Regular gyms often have lots of flat 2D sections, this feels like it has more 3D movement? The setting features lots of crimps and old school climbs but they also have ana amazing comp wall, full of macros and big dynos. I always get psyched by the climbs Other features - spray wall - woodie - decent gym (no cables). - camps rungs - rings - circuit board Often busy but always friendly. Always have a good time Highly recommend!
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families with teens aged 14+ who want a broad variety of climbing styles in a single session. The weekly route resets reward returning visitors with fresh problems. First-timers are well served by the structured beginner classes. Families with children under 14 require adult supervision throughout.

βVisited on Boxing day for the first time. Great bouldering place with a good mix of problems across grades. Routes are well set and regularly changed (I've been told), so thereβs always something new to work on. Clean space, solid facilities, and a friendly atmosphere without feeling intimidating. The crowd is a good mix of beginners and experienced climbers. I'm used to weightlifting however this pushes you in different ways - definitely popping back.β
